Another option to report a claim is via e-mail within 24 hours of the incident (or as soon as possible):

In the e-mail, include the following information:

• Name of business
• Policy Number
• Reporting party’s contact information (name, phone, e-mail)
• The name, phone and e-mail address of injured employee
• Date of incident
• Location of incident (address and/or city, state)
• Description of incident

What is the waiting period for lost wages in Louisiana:

No payment is due for the first week of disability unless the disability lasts longer than 2 weeks. Disabilities lasting longer than 2 weeks will satisfy the retroactive period and the first week of lost time will then be paid retroactively.
