Another option to report a claim is via e-mail within 24 hours of the incident (or as soon as possible):

E-mail: claims@pieinsurance.com

In the e-mail, include the following information:

  • Name of business
  • Policy Number
  • Reporting party’s contact information (name, phone, e-mail)
  • The name, phone and e-mail address of injured employee
  • Date of incident
  • Location of incident (address and/or city, state)
  • Description of incident

Employer’s First Report of Injury - RSA 281-A:53 requires employers to report any injury sustained by an employee in the course of employment as soon as possible, but no later than 5 days after the employer learns of the occurrence of such an injury.

What is the waiting period for lost wages in New Hampshire:

No payment is due for the first 3 days of disability unless the disability lasts for 14 days or longer. The 3 day waiting period will be paid retroactively if lost time reaches or exceeds the 14 day retroactive period.
