The employee must be unable to work for 7 days (including weekends and holidays) before they are eligible for temporary disability benefits. Benefits are retroactive to the first day. The 7 days need not be consecutive. The day that the employee is unable to continue at work by reason of the accident, whether it be the day of the accident or later, counts as one whole day of the waiting period.
