Another option to report a claim is via e-mail within 24 hours of the incident (or as soon as possible):

E-mail: claims@pieinsurance.com

In the e-mail, include the following information:

  • Name of business
  • Policy Number
  • Reporting party’s contact information (name, phone, e-mail)
  • The name, phone and e-mail address of injured employee
  • Date of incident
  • Location of incident (address and/or city, state)
  • Description of incident

Notice of accident form - Employers should report all work accidents to their insurer within 72 hours after you receive notice of the accident or injury, regardless of whether you believe the accident or injury is compensable.

What is the waiting period for lost wages in New Mexico:

No payment is due for the first 7 days of disability (excluding the date of injury) unless the disability lasts longer than 4 weeks, then the first 7 days will be paid retroactively.
