Everything you need to know about audit noncompliance charges.
Audit noncompliance charges, or ANCs, are an industry standard penalty fee charged when a business owner doesn’t complete their required workers’ comp premium audit.
Workers’ comp premium audits are a required end-of-policy review that evaluates initial job classifications and payroll to make sure they match actual business operations during the policy term. Completing your premium audit ensures accurate coverage for your business and fair prices for everyone.

The amount of the ANC is controlled by the regulatory and rating agencies in your state. Most states allow a charge of up to 2x the Estimated Annual Premium (EAP). The actual charge is determined by Pie Insurance and will comply with the specific regulations in the appropriate state.
